responsibilities. There will be a one-time pay increase for Ambassadors who speak a second language.

4. If you are unable to attend any of the listed mandatory dates, notify the advisers prior to the date. Any
member who accumulates two or more unexcused absences and/or tardies will face disciplinary actions which may result in termination.
5. If you are scheduled for a tour or sign up for an event, you are responsible for attending that function or getting a replacement if you are unable to attend. You must contact the admissions adviser 48 hours prior to event to let us know you have found a replacement and/or if you are unable to find a replacement,
otherwise it will be considered an absence. If your replacement does not attend the function, you are both
held responsible. Remember it doesn’t just reflect poorly on you, but hurts the entire team and university.
6. Punctuality is essential. 5-10 minutes before any meeting or event is scheduled to begin is on time. This will allow you to receive any instructions or materials. Arriving early prevents any discrepancies between clocks.
7. Privacy does not exist in the world of social media. Think twice before posting comments and photos that could reflect negatively about the university, program, and/or yourself. Consider what could happen if your post alienates or offends others.
8. Be professional and polite at all university events.
9. Refrain from wearing Ambassador gear to bars, pubs and parties.
10. Acknowledge and respect fellow Ambassadors.
11. Blue shirts or jackets and khaki’s or black pants are required for all Ambassador events and daytime office hours unless specifically stated by the advisers.
12. Be respectful of EOU property including following proper campus tour etiquette (no walking backwards, walking on grass, etc.)
13. Demonstrate appropriate office conduct when wearing your blue shirt (i.e. positive language, proper
conversation topics and suitable office mannerisms). Refrain from using profanity and telling inappropriate jokes while in your blue shirt.
14. Obey all Federal, State, and Local Laws.
15. Avoid violation of the EOU Student Code of Conduct. Upon review of the violation by the Director of Student Relations and program adviser, individuals may be placed in program probation, suspension, or dismissed from the Ambassadors.
16. Academic standards regarding eligibility to participate as an Ambassador include maintaining at 2.75 GPA- both term and cumulative. If either GPA falls below a 2.75, first consequence is program probation for one term. Not meeting the GPA requirement for two consecutive terms results in program suspension and potential termination.
17. Program Probationary Status: During this period, you are expected to participate in program meetings and limited work as outlined by the adviser. Program Suspension Status: During this period, you are expected to participate in program meetings but are not eligible to work.
18. Program Probationary and Suspension Status can also be used in other disciplinary actions- such as unexcused absence from work, code of conduct violations, etc.
19. Should individuals step down from the program and/or be removed, current Ambassador gear must be returned and all work opportunities are terminated. Failure to return gear may result in a charge to your student account.
*Blue Shirt Etiquette refers to any Ambassador shirt, nametags, or other paraphernalia related to the EOU Ambassador Program
